SALEM, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Jacko's Corner, located at 190 North Main Street in Salem, is closing its doors. Majority owner Sarah Parker said the restaurant's last day will be October 28. "This latest iteration of Jacko's Corner has been such a wonderful experience but as anyone who's been in the restaurant business knows, it takes an immense amount of time and energy to keep things going," said Parker. "Unfortunately, our team does not have the bandwidth to continue, so we are sadly going to be closing at the end of this month."Viewed as a fixture in the Salem community, Jacko's Corner was originally founded in 1919 by Jacko Tomasi as a candy store and ice cream parlor. ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- An Albany man was arrested on October 18 following a traffic stop, according to police. Damien Carter, 30, is facing multiple charges. On Wednesday at 10 a.m., Albany detectives stopped Carter in the area of Clinton Avenue and North Lake Avenue in connection to an ongoing investigation. Police stated that Carter was found to be in possession of a quantity of crack cocaine during the traffic stop. Carter was then take into custody. ST. LOUIS – Two suspects have been charged with murder and robbery in connection with a shooting that occurred on October 8 around 3:24 a.m. in the 3500 block of S. Compton. Toron Mitchell, 19, and Azavian Royal, 18, were charged with the death of Iarvera Hale, 17, and wounding another juvenile. Mitchell and Royal are currently being held without bond. Hale was found with fatal gunshot wounds, while the second victim sustained a gunshot wound to the leg but survived. Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene, where Hale was pronounced dead. A 17-year-old boy was identified as the victim in an Oct. 12 shooting in East Denver.Officers responded to reports of a shooting near East Fifth Avenue and Dallas Street in the Lowry Park neighborhood at 4:07 p.m., Denver police said, where a teenage boy was found dead.ALERT: #DPD is conducting a homicide investigation in the area of 5th and Dallas. A teenager wanted in connection with a mass shooting outside of a Denver nightclub was arrested Thursday morning in San Bernardino County, California. Officers from the Denver Police Department arrested Keanna Rosenburgh in Barstow, a desert city roughly 115 miles northeast of Los Angeles, with assistance from the FBI and Barstow police, authorities said.Keanna Rosenburgh has been identified as the suspect in a Sept. 16, 2023, shooting outside a bar in Lower Downtown.
